The sun terrace was great, yummy food, nice staff, extremely clean hotel, practical location near old town, comfortable bed.

Excellent base for discovering Aarau. Our single room accommodated us perfectly. Liked the breakfast, it was GOOD. It's 10 mins walk to the center. Nice restaurant near to the hotel. It deserves its 3 stars.

Free parking & nice staff. Short way from Sevilla, where you can have lunch. Ideal place for a 4-night stay.

The staff at Gasthof Zum Schutzen were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. They stored our bikes safely and the room was exactly what we needed. The location was convenient, just a short walk from the center of town and the Swiss National cycle route. The restaurant was outstanding, offering one of the best meals on our entire trip. I would highly recommend this hotel for its friendly staff, great food, and convenient location.

The hotel was situated in a great location, being within close proximity to the town center with all its attractions. The room was spacious, and the bathroom was clean and well-maintained. The staff was very helpful and accommodating, offering great service throughout our stay. The breakfast was delicious, with a range of options to choose from. The sun terrace was perfect for relaxing with a drink and enjoying the view.

The train passing by could be heard quite clearly in the early morning, but it wasn't too disruptive to our stay.
